The title of this work is a phrase from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. In the play, Hamlet holds the skull of the royal jester or fool and talks to it contemplating the temporary nature of life. The Dodo bird’s name is derived from the portugese word diogo which means fool. The Dodo is extinct.
